Classic Firearms has 15 Swiss Lugers going on sale at noon today EST. At $1899.99 they are too rich for my blood. For an up charge of $100.00 there are some premium ones including holsters. They say don't call, just go online.

I want one, but like you, it just seems like too much money for the pistol. If I can say with certainty that the future price of the pistol might go up, I might consider it.

But they look REALLY nice, especially the ones with the straw colored accents.

    ONLY 15 ! HURRY! HURRY!

no thanks. I suspect these are refurbished (and of course will have an import mark, which isn't shown I don't think).
So much of the value is in a fully matching, original gun that it's not worth the risk.

Like all things Classic they rely on small quantities to drum up demand. Way too much for an import marked Swiss Luger.

Didn't SOG have some a while back as well?

Yeah, slow, methodical me doesn't like the one-day-fire-sale approach to get customers to stampede. Agree w. somd_mustangs, better to troll Simpson Ltd or another Swiss specialist to get a better example for this much coin. So glad I bought my Model 1929 when I did. That was an amazing pile of about 75 Swiss lugers. Most were in excellent shape and not import marked. This was the Poulin Auction in 2013.

No plans to buy, but I did look at their pre-sale hype. Sure enough, they seemed to accidentally not show the import mark. They've quit marketing to collectors, and they now seem satisfied with selling to suckers who buy into their hype.
