    New knife

Nothing special. As described from website.
The Surviv-All survival knife from StatGear has a high carbon 440 stainless steel full tang, drop point blade. It has a rubber textured handle with a stainless steel pommell on the handle bottom. The heavy duty belt sheath includes a fire starter rod and cord cutter so you don't have to take your knife out for minor cuts. There is an integrated knife sharpener stone on the rear of the sheath. The knife handle is secured to the sheath with the patent-pending para-secure paracord handle strap.

I got the Gerber Strongarm out today. Forgot I had it to be honest. Strapped it to my new pack and it damn near blends in.

Found a piece of history today.

I was working in a neighbors basement today. And found this tucked behind an old workbench and a wall... looks like it was hidden for years. I pulled it out and he told me I could have it. I think it was a pretty cool score.

After I cleaned it up a bit... it's not perfect but I think it looks pretty good for a 110 year old piece of hardware lost in a cellar for over 40 years.

At first glance I didn't see it until I read your 'blends in' comment then took another look.

Diesel- great score with that bayonet/short sword. Is that a ww1 bayonet?

From what I have found online. Yes. ( WW1 U.S M1905 Bayonet Marked 1906 Serial 136195) But if anyone knows any better please indulge me for I know very little of my find. Other than its pretty cool. :)

    What rifle is this for?

From a 1903 Springfield. The SA stands for Springfield Armory. Believe they were used on Gerrands later on as well. I have one that is much worse condition that was my Grandfathers.

Mine was in a shed fire then after that she'd was cleaned out it sat in another in Tennessee until my Grandfater died.

He never owned the rifle that it went to and nobody knows why he had it or where it came from.

Diesel, yours is in pretty good shape indeed.

Dieselfool, nice find on that bayonet and nice job cleaning it up.

Shamr0ck, like the GEC Navy knife, GEC builds a very high quality traditional knife.
Just received 2 of GEC's latest Barlows, pictured with an original late 1800's English Barlow.
