I'm looking to get myself one of these as a Christmas present.

I'm not sure I'd ever end up with a suppressor however the FVSR looks really interesting.

I'll sell you mine. Nothing wrong with it, just thinning the herd.

The summer camp I work at uses Mark II's on their rifle range. They've been working really well for the past couple years, no problems with the action or ammo.

I have a TRR-SR which has the 22" barrel. It shoots well and is quiet with wolf ammo. I can't wait until the paperwork clears for the Sparrow. The factory rail system is hideous though. I replaced it with a EGW. Shoots decent at 200 yards. I can't wait to take it out further.

I just bought one from Bud's Gun Shop for $232 delivered to my FFL. You have to figure your transfer fee in there, but they do have them in stock. I was having a problem finding one locally and Bud's has a pile of them. Last New Year's Eve sale, Bud's sold the FV-SR for $199. If they have them for the same price this year, they will refund you the difference if you buy it now (30 day price match).

I have a Mark II FV-SR, and I put the Boyd's Tacticool and the DIP bottom metal right on when I opened the Savage box for the first time. The Tacticool is infinitely better than the factory plastic crap stock.

Your son will enjoy that rifle, nice shooters even without the scope they are VERY accurate. Bought a left handed model from Mark for my son when he was 8.

Any place sell the already finished and painted Boyd's Tacticool stock or all come with unfinished wood? No synthetic version for Boyd's tacticool stock for lighter weight?

Last year I bought 1 from Dicks with the stock already painted, don't know if they still carry them this way.
