    I just got word that I am going to be getting (a gift!) of two .22 rifles. One is a Springfield 1922 MII in excellent shape and the other is a somewhat beaten Stevens Model 56. I haven't taken possession of them yet, but am looking forward to fondling them. One thing, no magazines for either. I'll update this post with photos as soon as I can. Anybody got stories, comments, etc.?

    That Springfield is an awesome rifle! It's fully the equal of pretty much anything you can find new today and its standard of construction is matchless. I owned one many years ago...sorry I had to sell it but it was part of the cost to finance a divorce. In that respect it was worth it.
