    Happy new year!

    My birthday is the weekend of Jan 12 so a few buddies and I would like to go on a guided goose/duck hunt one day the 12/13/14. Anybody have any affordable recommendations?

    I'm flexible on boat vs blind and the like. Cheap is good, but we are somewhat flexible depending on the hunt. I've been duck and goose hunting a bunch, just don't have decoys nor calling confidence.

    I do have a 330 acre soybean farm near the 50/301 split if anyone wants to guide a goose hunt.

    Have a request into Pit Boss Waterfowl already.

    Buddy at work has hunted with these guys a few times in the past and had booked a 3-day hunt with them last week. He and I were both off all last week so I’m not sure how he did but he speaks highly of them. If you knew this guy, his speaking highly of them speaks volumes for them. Good luck finding someone.

    I know two local guys who can expertly call and have 4 dozen decoys with three layout blinds that they'll travel with. If your in a beanfield your going to need to conceal the layout blinds or have another blind-site available. They will not charge but they're going to want to gun for coming up there.

    Lee is a great guide and will get you on the birds. Right now it's probably going to be all snow goose hunts if he can fit you into an existing party.

    Was going to volunteer to hunt with you on the soybean field if you had seen geese in the area. That is the key right now, locating where the geese are. Glad to hear you found some guys to hunt with. If you ever see the birds flying around your field or landing in it, I'd be more than happy to haul decoys and layout blinds there and hunt with you.
