I think it's more a difference in country of manufacture than general design. Surely a Russian (or even Polish) manufactured TT-33 is one I'd prefer to have (or want to add), but the basic design for a Romanian TT is very similar to them I think. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TT_pistol
I know Coinboy has both Romy & Polish TT pistols. Maybe he or others can chime in on the exact differences between a TT-33 and TTC?
I'm curios too.
Nice, Tractor Boy!
You're gonna enjoy shooting 7.62x25's.
They're very different pistols and a helluva lot of fun!
Congrats again!
Ain't a C&R a wonderful thing?
Looks like you got the Romanian. I have that one too. Would have preferred the Russian TT-33, but we have the same thing, only looks different. The easy way to spot a TT-33 over a Romanian is to look at the grooves at the rear of the slide. Still a very nice gun! Congrats!
The only real safety on these is the half-cock. The button on the side was added in order to make it importable into the US, from my understanding. I don't use it even though it's there.
