Mas also recommends keeping a box of ammo of the same lot that you use in your gun as a defense against some DA trying to say you shot the guy with special zombie loads. ( I do as he says)

Would most defendants have the money or experts available to defend against that claim even if they had a box of ammo that THEY said was the same that they used in their self defense claim?

Not trying to be argumentative, but the AG has almost unlimited funds to "prove" his case. The defendant, probably can't say the same.

interestingly enough, Massad Ayoob explains this argument in his MAG 20, MAG 40, MAG 80 and MAG120 classes, in addition to his co-taught DEADLY FORCE INSTRUCTOR program. handloads=forensic nightmare, factory loads=standards set by the industry, quality control standards, easy to replicate for forensic purposes.

Who cares? Bottom line...if you shoot someone they are a threat to you and your family. You are not shooting to create evidence, you are stopping the threat. Ayoob makes a lot of excellent points. IMO, the only 2 things that matter are the following:

    1. The deceased was a legitimate threat to me and/or my family.
    2. The threat has been neutralized.

I will rot in jail knowing my family is safe.

VERY good question! AND very good observation of how the "just us" system is wired.

I asked Mas how do we "fix" the judicial system from CRIMINAL justice to VICTIM justice? he said "..." state-wide, basically until the courts are flipped from the obama appointees, we're screwed.

So my friend, lets evaluate your scenario...

For all you folks who are worried about magazine size in a firearm you keep on your property to protect yourself and family, think about this. Would you rather be alive with your family because you did the right thing or would you rather have your name tossed about the net like the ass who kept his guns loaded with no round chambered? :innocent0

I'm sure ya'll remember the outcome of that one. :sad20:

I have no such worries there :)

google is your friend, I am not.
The best way to avoid shooting through drywall is the hang from the ceiling in red spandex. You preserve the element of surprise, and all your shots go through the floor into the foundation.

    Your Welcome.

The reason experts recommend hanging from the ceiling in red spandex is that the more traditional camo face paint and tank top is difficult to pull off without a lot of HGH and steroids, leaving one open to accusations by the prosecution of roid rage. On the other hand, everyone loves a vigilate in red spandex. I dont always carry a Deagle, but when I do I wear red spandex.

Youll thank me for this advice.

Everyone knows you're supposed to wet yourself and vomit. Oh wait, that's for rape. HD? Ah, retreat, scream like a girl, crap yourself - and then fling those loaded drawers at the intruder like a monkey in a zoo.

    Class dismissed.

Rather than shooting burglars, I prefer to hang them.
Prevents all that mess we were talking about earlier.

    or maybe HSS.

    Remember the movie "Lonesome Dove"?

    Jake Spoon:
You shot those two men for a watch?

    Dan Suggs:
Shot 'em, now I'm going to hang 'em.

    Eddie Suggs:
Hang 'em? Dang, you beat all! I've never heard of hanging dead men.

    Dan Suggs:
Shot 'em, now I'm gonna hang 'em, then I'm gonna burn 'em! Damn sodbusters. Can't ever be too dead to suit me.
