I have an older Steyr Mannlicher in .308 that I want to change from the old Weaver scope base to a Picatinny rail Scope mount but I can't find any info for what base to use. The Weave has 2 screw hold not the 4 that the newer Steyr guns use. Would a Remington 700 base work? The center to center measurement is 2" 7/8.
