Had no idea these were things.
    A marketed slam-fire single-shot 12ga with a collapsible stock...

    Pretty humorous.

A small shop in Great Mills, MD (D's Outdoors)had one several years ago. It wasn't for sale but was later stolen in onenof several burglaries of the shop.

    Yes.

One could make a more functional zip (shot)gun... than that... :)

Maybe a clean and lube before he declares it junk ? It seems to bind.

And I disagree, there is a good reason to build something like this as a survival shotgun. However, no reason to go with a slamfire action.

    The ‘Dena - DPRM
That’s a great video. Ian has some other hilarious videos covering the rest of the Cobray catalog, including the Street Sweeper and Lady’s Home Companion.

What’s one of these worth saw GB had none.

Pure curiosity and if you do own one and didn’t lose it on that boat trip with blaster is it as bad as the video shows?
    J/K Just Kidding

Slam fire guns are the only guns worse than guns that fire from an open bolt IMHO.

That thing needs a mag sticking out of it. Looks like a kiddie crutch!

That slam fire recoils on it's own when operated... even without shell ignition .

Probably a good way to tame "the flinch" without actually shooting a shotshell :)

I will say, that I like the overall length when the stock is collapsed. I could see the use of a non-pistol grip shotgun that will easily go into a duffel or go bag.... but other than that, I would actually want a gun that, well, I donknow.... maybe fires?

Slam-fire guns make sense if you are third-world flat broke or have very limited tools. Army survival manuals used to describe how to make this sort of thing. Think of it as a Liberator. Instead of making a nicer gun, you use a crappy one to kill a sentry and take his.

Not sure what Cobray was thinking, though.

Its was the 80's there were a lot of ideas some were not good, this gun, the Yugo, shoulder pads, high hair, etc... I blame the cocaine...
