As the title says, I'm looking for a GOOD riflesmith.

I have a Remington 700 in .300 Remington Short Action Ultra Mag (SAUM) that I would like to have re-chambered to .300 Winchester Short Mag (WSM).

Would prefer someone local to me, but, I want/need someone that is GOOD.
    I'm in Southern Maryland.

    Thanks in advance.

Ed Harren or DocEd on this board would be who I recommend. He isn't local to you though, near Frederick. He chambered a 6mmBR to a 6x47Lapua for me...shoots great.

    Thanks!!!!

I wouldn't mind driving to/near Frederick, for great work.

He is an old time bench rest shooter, him and his wife had national records over the years. There are others on the board that have had him build rifles as well.

Eddie has done excellent work on several long guns for my son and me. He is located in Ijamsville. When we were checking him out originally, we put a lot of weight on the competitive performance of Eddie and his wife, and particularly on the fact that they were shooting guns Eddie had built.
