Airborne Trooper would have a better answer, ‘44 is the least common year, followed by ‘42 and then ‘43. I need a ‘43. I’d say that they are all pretty rare.

Nice, how are you going to tackle the stock repair?

I bought some tight bond 3 wood glue that allows for longer set up so i have time to put in a syringe with a 18 or 22ga needle . I have found a way to spread the crack so i will prob spread the crack and then try the smaller needle and see if i can get the glue in. Once the glue is in , i will clamp and then if need be i am thinking about using a brass Screw as a pin and cutting it nearly flush with the stock and using a dremel to make it flush so you just see a brass end. Or i could use a wood dowel however the stock is arctic birch so id rather not use a non arctic birch wood as a repair if i can help it. If it dosnt work out i can always add it to the ... I sent both complete spreadsheets to you.

My ‘42, in a ‘42 stock, was definitely used. I got her from Burns. My ‘44 is in basically unissued condition and sits in a ‘43 stock which is proper for that serial range.

Looking at that chart, I was surprised that there were more than P-26s and P-27s than SkYs M39s.

Thanks man, I already have a nice 43 Sk.y so this is a great score for me. On the broken one Im thinking that once i get the stock off i will try to spread the crack a bit and use a needle to try and get some tight bond in there, then clamp for a few days and then once that sets i will prob drill and use some sort of pin. maybe something like This

Old gunsmith trick: spread crack (if you can) then use compressed air to blow glue or accra glass into the crack....clamp if needed.
