If a gun was purchased (legally) in another state (where use to reside) over 30 years, can that weapon be sold in the state of Maryland (now reside)

    Flowchart :

When did you move to Maryland ? Before or after Oct 1, 2013 ?

If Before - You are fine . You may possess , use , or sell it , same as any other (non-Prohibited) Md resident .

If After - Did you Register it with MSP within 90days of moving to Maryland with intent of establishing Residency ?

If Yes - You are fine . You may possess, use, or sell it, same as any other ( non-Prohibited) Md Resident .

If No - You are NOT fine . Erase your post, ask Mods to delete thread , and consult firearms knowledgeable attorney . If you don't already have one , knowledgeable ones are listed in the Industry Partners section of this Forum .

Opps- Correction , ask Mods to delete the subsequent posts discussing your question

    Yes, through a FFL

I did not see a mention of that at the time of the post - Only selling a handgun in Maryland.

The MSP cannot be used, if the purchaser is a resident of another state, btw.

    KISS, for a newbie

I read sold in the state as to another resident.

But either way, the response was incomplete.
