I'm going to hijack this thread some.
I"m hoping to go to 7 springs with the family over the new years weekend.

    I have 4 kids + wifey

It mentions " original four-story complex." Is that close to the slopes?

    Lodge Suite
Lodge Suites are located in the original four-story complex. They feature a comfortable living room area and a private bedroom. These rooms have two queen beds in the bedroom section. To accommodate the whole family, the living room offers a Murphy bed and their own 42 flat screen TV. All come with balconies that overlook the scenic slopes or the Trillium Spa garden or patios, perfect for enjoying the fresh mountain air.

As a 7 Springs homeowner I can say yes, they're at the foot of the slopes. You might have to walk 100 yards to get to the slopes for skiing.

If you can't get a room for New Years weekend (they book up very fast) PM me soon as our rental unit is available at this time. However it's not on the slopes but located at the Golf Course a short shuttle bus ride away.

What a difference a day makes

With the temps in the teens the WISP snow guns are making progress. With the couple of inches of natural snow over the last 24 hours, hopefully they'll have a good base to work with.

Did any make it over to Buff7mm's house? :innocent0

I managed to dig my way out.;) Now I've got a nice ice glaze over my 4 inches of white death. I'm still going to lay odds that it's gone and we have a green Christmas at my house, or at least brown from dirty left over snow.

I didn't have time to stop and take a pic of the WISP as I was coming home today. Besides it was too effin cold to get out of the car! But they appeared to have their snow guns going full blast.

Looks like they are planning to start the 2016-17 season tomorrow: http://wispresort.com/

How cold is it in Deep Creek? See below and stay warm!

    ;)

    I've got you beat by .2, but I'm guessing there's a +/- .2 factor involved there somewhere. :D

It's pretty close to 3% no matter how it's measured...

Kinda sounds like shooting temps us Hooligans are used to... :innocent0

    :lol2:

can't wait for some snow, my dogs love snowballs. I toss them their way and they pick em out of the air and gobble them up. Gotta love winter.

My Lab is nuts all of the time, but he's certifiable when there's snow on the ground.

Can't wait. But I'm hearing about ice on Saturday. That's bad.

Fact is, in Garrett County weather forecasts can change hourly. I've always wanted a job where I could be wrong most of the time and get well paid for it... :innocent0

If folks are coming to Deep Creek this weekend, it's very cold here.

Dress appropriately. Stay warm and travel safe!

    ;)

For all the skiers and boarders out there.

Looks like the mountains are testing their systems today in preparation for the cold blast starting this week. An image from Ski Whitetail this morning.

Looks like the WISP is trying to get going for next weekend. Below is a pic I took on the way home from yesterday's Hooligan shoot. It's been cold enough to blow snow with colder temps and a few inches of white stuff on its way tomorrow...

    :fingerscrossed:
