Good evening, So I picked up a Ruger MK 2 Target. Gun was in good shape but dirty. I shot about 50 rds through it . When I chamber a round the bolt sticks for about .5" then works smooth. Took it apart and cleaned and inspected and did not see any other problems. Put back together gun functions and fires but with the same sticky bolt. Any ideas ?

Any reason to think it's not the original bolt?

A replacement bolt from a different model year could be off just enough to cause that. Same specs but different die on the shaping machine at the factory....something like that

Does it look newer than the rest of the gun?

Thank you gentlemen, I thank you for your input. I guess I should have taken it completely apart before I posted the question. I did this morning and found the hammer pin hole was wore oblong just enough to change the angle. New hammer and pin on it's way. Thank again.
