-2017 has been good to me so far. And unusual in that both acquisitions have been FN 1922s! This time I was able to find a very nice pre-war Dutch Pistool M25 No2 in 9mm Kurtz for an exceptionally reasonable price. Pistol matches, sadly the magazine does not. But that aside it's in VG condition with original horn grips. SN dates it to a large batch of 15,000, delivered in 1939, just before the war started. Highest pre-war SNs would be in the low 61k range.
-The Crown "J" mark on the rear of the frame is the inspection mark of Lt Janssen. The large roll engraved Crown "W" on the top of the slide is the royal cypher of Queen Wilhelmina. This you will find on most prewar M25 No2s and those built post war up to 1948. After that the cypher of Queen Juliana was used.

Super jealous! That's one of the nicest I've ever seen! I've been looking for a Dutch and Yugo contract M1910/22 for the past couple years. I haven't been able to find one for a decent price.

I've been trolling GunBroker for years looking at Dutch M25s. Found this one with just a couple days left on the six day listing with no bids. Scratched my head as to why when I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Perhaps the fact that it was just after Christmas and so many folk are paying off holiday bills. Good for me though! These typically sell in the $550-650 range and I got this one for $125 under the low range. Fine by me! Guess I was in the right place at the right time.

    ^^^^ Yeah ... this ... that's what HE said!

Truly beautiful addition, Mawkie. One of my favorites of your many excellent finds.

Thanks my friend! The seller contacted me and said that he is liquidating other Dutch 1922s and KMIL Lugers. Very much a Dutch focused collector. My bank account is too depleted to take advantage of this anytime soon after last weekend's auction.
