    Means probably not re-parkerized (implying original finish).

    If reparked, they usually plug the breech and muzzle and put the whole barreled receiver in the tank. Then the outside of the breech area gets parked and is no longer in the white.

    Speaking of Garands, David Condon in VA has a real nice looking gas trap clone for about 1900 bucks.
    Solid butt plate milled bands, numbered front site and 4-5 digit serial and rat worx gas trap front end.
    Do your homework on the barrel mods though if its a converted gas port seems like to good a deal to be true who knows. If you only need one.....
