I bake all of my: rice, beans, lentils, etc. @ 250f for 45 minutes. No organism can survive that.

out of the original to reduce as much air as possible. Seal the bag mostly with an iron, slide in the o2 absorber and vacuum the bag and finish sealing with the iron.
