It's September 1st and Bambi whacking season is only days away.

Post pics of any and all deer taken with things that go TWANG to things that go BANG.

Have fun this hunting season and stay safe.

Please donate to Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry if you can.

I've planned to invite this 10 pointer over for dinner next Saturday. Having a minor procedure on my back this Friday, so I'm hoping to be out there on Saturday morning.

    Wish me luck!

If I'm successful, how well does a velvet rack hold up to taxidermy?

    Come on.....

Those pictures are grossly inappropriate for this thread.

I don't want to see another deer picture in this thread unless it's hanging by it's head, hanging by it's feet, or laying on it's side with blood dripping out of it's mouth or a gapping wound in its side.

    Geeeeeze!!!!

    PS:

2014 Trail Camera Picture Thread=Live Deer.

2014 Bambi Whacking Picture Thread=Dead Deer.

    It ain't that difficult. :)

The ones I've seen in SC do fine.
To me the antlers look kind of stubby because they are still growing. The point when they start rubbing the velvet off is probably too late to save the velvet.

I have always wanted to get a 2fer bow hunting. The right angle, the right arrow, the right bow, I do believe it's possible.

2 days and a wakeup until the 2014 MD bow season begins, and runs until 3/31 in Charles and St Marys counties.

If it makes you feel better. The deer were hit by moving vehicles later on.
