    who has experience here with the Calico 9mm carbine? positive/negative input appreciated.

    The original carbines were hit and miss with reliability. For a while when they were out of production the magazines were worth about as much as the rifle itself. The newer version with the "pinned mags" are even less reliable from what I've heard. Imagine taking a marginal design and then messing with it to make it complaint. Not a recipe for a reliability.

    The only good thing about calicos is that there were a bunch of them in Total Recall as well as a pancor jackhammer (I suspect they were going with trying to find the most oddball futuristic looking guns they could find). As actually guns, I haven't heard much good.

    A thought occurs to me. Shouldn't the calico carbine in .22lr with the 100 round magazine be Maryland legal since we exempt .22lr with tubular magazines?

    The .22lr currently sold is identical to the original. It is on the list and banned.
