Long time reader, first time poster.

Was wondering if anyone has any feedback on the browning x-bolts? Specifically the long-range models. Just placed an order for one (got a good deal on it) in 6.5 CR. Haven’t seen a ton of reviews or anything on the forums. Planning on using it for bench shooting and longer-shot deer hunting. Any feedback on the gun would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a x-bolt in stainless and .243. More accurate than I'll ever be. I like that I can unload the chamber without taking the rifle off safety.

Thanks. Stainless long-range version? I picked up the stalker long range. Think browning made a “long range” variety that has a heavier profile barrel and threaded for a detachable muzzle break among other things. From the few reviews I have read, they shoot well.

I have the x-bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor, it was my first Browning rifle I ever shot, I would definitely recommend.

I'm bought it to use it for antelope hunting out in Wyoming, but I did finally hunt with it back in March down in South Carolina, taking 2 boars with it.

I put the Nikon Black X1000 scope on.

So far, have only shot it out to 200 yards (that's the farthest I have available to shoot at), but it's spot on at 200.

I can say that it's a smooth shooting rifle with minimum kick. I haven't had any issues to date with.

Let me know what you think of the rifle when you get a chance.

Yup. Picked up the long-range stalker in 6.5 Creedmoor, and I love it.

Spot on with the recoil, mine also came with a brake on it.

I also have Nikon glass on it, albeit a BDC scope. I use the spot-on app, so the results have been great.

Only shot mine out to 300, but have been able to shoot .5 moa or so with match-grade rounds. Still figuring out what it likes best.

    Really enjoying the rifle.
