Wife and I voted in bel air this morning. Cassandra Beverly was out front with a sign, greeting people. There were a couple Gahler (Sheriff candidate) workers there waving as well. Surprisingly, that was it. Count 2 votes for Hogan and Pritzker (not f*ck face Frosh).

First night of early votin I took the wife and daughter and made sure they knew to read the summary page before hitting submit . Thought there was an issue as my wife took 30 minutes she went over it very carefully :)

I'm not understanding the hate for the folks in the parking lot.

I've been out in the parking lot the last couple nights working for a local candidate, and I have to say the folks there--regardless of affiliation--got along well (some great conversations), were polite to the voters, and generally let the candidates who were there do most of the contact with voters.

    But, to the OT...

Wife and I voted Saturday. No muss, no fuss, the lot people respected that we were GTG, and we were in and out in under 10 mins.

    Then Mission BBQ.

I suppose it is about time to make a bigger and more impressive version than the last time around...

I voted last Friday, wife voted today. I'm a little ticked she voted for the Libertarian candidate for AG. I told her it was basically a vote for Frosh...my bad for not emphasizing the importance of that particular race. Damn her Libertarian rebelliousness :)

I think a lot of it may have to do with the absolute deluge of negative advertising in the media and found in the mailbox. By the time people get to the polls, especially for early voting, they have made their choices and that one last encounter with an attempt to sway their vote is enough to overload their frazzled nerves.

As a fellow parking lot zombie, I've also noted very cordial relations between most candidate's representatives. We know we are just there for theater and are not likely to drastically influence anyone's votes. I've actually learned quite a bit about small details of campaigning from conversations with the opposition and stowed them away for future use. Good intel is good intel and you can often get better info with a smile than you can with a baseball bat.

Patty and I voted last Friday. Turn out was fairly light and no one got upset I that I was wearing my Monumental Rifle and Pistol hat and my B&S Personal Safety and Firearms Education logo button down!
