    What is the MP5 brace?

This is where I got mine. He does all of his own 3D printing with Onyx. Michael is a super nice guy and a real firearm enthusiast.

Mine was the very first one that he made. He through in some custom artwork on mine at no charge for being the tester.

Thanks. I was hoping it was a different solution. I have seen this or something like it, I simply cannot bring myself to destroy a perfectly good retractable stock. Plus having the unaltered stock in the same zip code as my pistol makes my BGOS ache.

If you contact him through his web site, he will build the whole stock with the adapter so you will never have to be in possession of a full stock. I built mine on reproduction stock rails (Not HK, ATI imports them. I think they are made in South Korea) for the same reason. I had trouble getting my mind around destroying a real HK stock.

I know the OP was asking about folding stocks but FWIW, another option (from this old page):

Well, after putting it off long enough decided to build my own. As others have noted, 5" to get the MPX to 29" (I don't include the butt pad, since it doesn't require tools to remove). My 3-lug adapter isn't pinned either; that could save you about another inch as well depending on model.

1015 steel for me, McMaster Carr to the rescue:

I went with cold blue (Oxpho-Blue), quite happy with the results:

Ever wonder how stupid a 29" MPX looks? This stupid:

But it sure collapses down nice...

Have 2 sets of rods left over, PM if interested.
