I have about 500 of them. They are in an unlabeled box. They are 200gr billers measuring at .427” Anyone know what they are? or what caliber they are intended for? I'll poke around more in the morning but i'm tired so i wanted to throw this up and see if anyone knows or wants to take a stab at it.

I ask because it seems like the common answer for .427 bullet is a 44-40 but to my knowlage my uncle never had one. I could be wrong or perhaps he was using it for something else.

Intended for.44WCF aka .44-40 . As noted , some Colts of some vintages default used .427 bbls on miscellaneous.44 chamberings .

Kind of a reverse of all the thousands of M92 Winchesters converted to .44mag by rechambering the original .427 bbl .
