Which senator is it? Not that it matters since they all think alike.

Board member nominee responded by stating law prevents certain crimes as disqualify offenses. Some can have record expunged for minor offenses. Example given as low level offensive such as maryjuana by teenager. Seems like charge was too severe and prevents wear and carry permit.

Kelley says HPTB acting extra-judicial by giving advince to expungement and advice on how to come around and come back. HPRB board member states they do not give legal advice. Board just gives good service to applicants and that is their duty. It's about treating people with respect. And board does recommend that applicant get counsel.

Chairman of the Senate concerned that board Turing over state police at twice the rate as the previous board. HPTB stated it cannot be measured, because every case is different.

McFadden cutting President as MSI president supported the testimony. Board said the guy was a witness. Attorney General from state police objected. Botads attorney belie e it was important for the witness to be heard.

McFadden accusing board of being influenced by MSI. McFadden not happy with the answer that it was not persuasive. McFadden starting to discuss details and complaining application was not sufficient because he was. Social Security IT guy. McFadden not happy that board did not respect MSP's objection.

Montgomery county Senator wanted to know how the board can overturn the state police's "fear" of someone getting a permit.

Because that's the law, you jackass. (The senator, not you.)

Senator Kelley of Baltimore City and County concerned about getting records expunged prior to applying. Also concerned about foster parents.

Concerned about FOSTER PARENTS? WTF? If they're prohibited people what the flying **** are the courts doing putting other people's kids in their home in the first place then? Jesus.

Esteemed senator wants to know if permit can be granted without third party review. I don't understand this question.

He doesn't understand the law, and that's for damn sure.

There. Got that off my chest. I'm glad I'm not there - it would be hard to keep quiet.

Thanks SO much for the play by play for those of us who couldn't be present.
