    Jesus effing Christ. Maybe we should sue them all for discrimination. They are trying to kill our culture. I can't get out of this commie hell hole of a state soon enough.

    This. Maryland is a one party state, run like a Socialist/Communist government in many ways. If you aren't part of the "party," you are nobody and don't deserve to be heard.

    AFAIK, are bigger problem with this bill is that it now treats loans or borrowing as a transfer. So I can't loan any of my rifles to a friend nor can he without going through a transfer at an FFL. This is batsh*t crazy nonsense. The Dems are looking to pass a law to a problem that doesn't exist. Putting their foot on the throat of the law abiding yet again.

    They're trying to head-off permanent borrowing.

    I won't go into it here, and other's shouldn't either .02, but this is a totally unenforceable law.

    Let's fight this, but not list scenarios that the grabbers can then incorporate into the law.

    Please.

    Would this affect Clubs that rent shotguns to clay shooters?

    We need to make sure that all hunters and Clay shooters are aware of this bill and mobilize them to lobby against this bill.

    This crap is like foot fungus... just when you think you've got it beaten back, it crops up again.
    There is no political downside for the sponsors.

    If their homes and businesses, and those of their contributors, were picketed, they may actually stop sleeping and playing chess during the hearings.

    That right there is called: Gun Owners Being Our Own Worst Enemies.

    But let's answer every questionable question. Whether it screws us down the road or not.

    In the name of trying to follow the law.

    seriously? The guy had a serious question on selling a bolt action rifle and a shotgun. He wanted to make sure he did it legally. The whole purpose of this forum is so that gun owners can help each other out either with technical issues or legal issues.

    Lighten up Francis.

    There's an exemption written into the bill

    (A) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO A TRANSFER:
    ....
    AT AN ESTABLISHED SPORT SHOOTING RANGE OPERATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCAL LAW OF THE JURISDICTION IN WHICH THE RANGE IS LOCATED;
    (II) DURING A LAWFULLY ORGANIZED COMPETITION INVOLVING THE USE OF A RIFLE OR SHOTGUN;
    (III) DURING A PERFORMANCE OR A PRACTICE FOR A PERFORMANCE BY AN ORGANIZED GROUP THAT USES RIFLES OR SHOTGUNS AS PART OF THE PERFORMANCE;
    (IV) WHILE THE TRANSFEREE IS HUNTING OR TRAPPING IF THE HUNTING OR TRAPPING IS LEGAL IN ALL PLACES AND AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE HUNTING OR TRAPPING IS CONDUCTED AND THE TRANSFEREE HOLDS ANY LICENSE OR PERMIT REQUIRED FOR THE HUNTING OR TRAPPING; OR
    (V) IN THE ACTUAL PRESENCE OF THE TRANSFEROR.

    I wish Trump would create a collector FFL. Kind of like a C&R but would allow you to have new guns shipped to your door.

    Wouldn't necessarily shield you from this since it refers to a "dealer" FFL.

    I wonder what FFL(s) helped them draft this?

    I have no problem with helping folks or answering questions.

    Happens all the time on the gun side of this form. And I'm happy to do it too.

    But all too often we spoon feed folks around here. If folks dig around for themselves to find the knowledge, it'll be retained.

    No Francis about it.

    Though there seems to be an exemption for "immediate family members", this bill should still be killed on its face. More liberal nonsense that will not reduce crime in any way.
