    Good Morning Shooters,

"Outlaw" Steel Challenge - Saturday August 1st

    https://practiscore.com/agc-outlaw-steel-challenge-match-clone/register

******PLEASE READ STEEL CHALLENGE SPECIAL NOTE BELOW*******

Due to the extreme heat we have been experiencing, there will be only 2 Rouge Stages for this match. There will also not be any movement (shooters & ROs will be under a canopy on all 6 stages). Instead of movement, the Rogue Stages will be like a Falling Steel Match with 23-25 targets each. There will be mandatory magazine changes, so you will need at least 3 magazines for this match.

    3 Gun Match - Sunday, August 9th

    https://practiscore.com/agc-3-gun-match-sunday-august-9-2020/register

We do NOT have the 200 yard range in August. That said, your longest shot will be less than 100 yards. You will need at least 4 SLUGS for this match.

IDPA Match - Saturday, August 15th

    STEEL CHALLENGE - SPECIAL NOTE:

It is important that we do everything we can to keep the flow of these matches moving. A lot of effort goes into the design of each stage and right sizing the number of shooters on each squad.

As of late, there seems to be an inordinate number of delays caused by malfunctioning firearms (specifically in the Rimfire divisions). As such, we are going to institute a new efficiency/consistency guideline that should help to keep things moving.

    Multiple Equipment Malfunctions

If a firearm malfunctions before a shooter completes a string/stage, then that string will be scored as "Miss Stop Plate" (+30 seconds). In the case of an outlaw stage, the entire stage will be scored as normal once the part time expires. The shooter will then be given 60 seconds to clear the malfunction and then resume shooting any remaining strings. If it takes more than 60 seconds to restore the functionality of the firearm and only if it is UNLOADED, then the Equipment Malfunctions provision (See SCSA Official Rules) applies. In this case, the shooter will be sent to the safe table on the other side of AGC Lane to repair or bag their firearm.

If the same firearm malfunctions on the same or any future stages, then that stage and all of its remaining strings will be scored as DNF. The shooter is welcome try the same firearm on the next stage, however the Multiple Malfunctions rule will continue to apply to that firearm for the remainder of the match. A shooter may also substitute their firearm as prescribed by the Changing Equipment 3.2.1

Note: There are no reshoots provided for.

First malfunction>Scored Miss Stop Plate> Fix within 60 seconds>shoot remaining strings - Second and any further malfunctions>Stage Scored as a DNF>Remaining Strings on that stage are forfeited>May try again on next stage

I'm a bit surprised to see eight slots open for steel challenge on Saturday. Wonder if the ammo shortage is taking its toll...

There are not eight slots open. There are 2 slots open and 6 registered shooters that have not squadded themselves yet.

That said, I am shocked that we have two slots open. This time last month, we have 15+ on the waiting list. It must be an ammo issue. Its probably only going to get worse from here on out.

Hot as balls also, Could be keeping people away.
I have a pop up tent, wonder if I should bring it.

This months match will be a little different. There will not be any movement (running around on 2/3 stages). All 6 stages will have fixed shooting positions, each will be covered so that the shooter and the ROs dont have to stand in the sun all day. Four of the 6 stages will be standard Steel Challenge, while 2 will be somewhat of a falling steel stages with 25 or so targets each.

Everyone is encouraged to print their personal EZ Ups and and set them up on the bay that they will be finishing on.

Thursday Night Rimfire Event - Tomorrow Night July 30th

Bring your Rimfire rifles and pistols. No holsters or mag pouches required. $5 Steel Donation

By the way, we still have a few slots open for the Outlaw Steel Challenge Match this Saturday. Not sure why, as we normally have a waiting list of 15+ shooters. Weather, Covid, Ammo shortage, Vacations, competing with York? Dunno. Register on Practiscore if you would like to grab one of the last slots.

Thank you for coming. We were shocked at the lack of shooters in attendance. Cant be an ammo shortage/expense issue and it really wasn't all that hot. Its a head scratcher for sure.

I'm probably not the only idiot who completely forgot about it and sat at home watching "Hotel Impossible" on Netflix.
(OK, I probably was the only one watching Hotel Impossible)
