Like many of us I bought a Marlin product (actually 2) during their summer rebate. Never received the check, thought I was going to get the usual rebate company run around.

Contacted Marlin (not the rebate processor) via email. They responded in 48 hours, tracked down the check that had been issued a month and a half earlier. Sent rebate priority mail. It was $150!

+1 for Marlin service. Pleasantly surprised.

Glad you got your check and Marlin made it good. But good customer service wouldn't have required a call from you to get your check 2 months after you should have gotten it.

As a long time Ruger fan, this hits home with me all too well. Everybody says Ruger has great customer service because they take care of the thousands of issues and recalls with thousands of new guns they ship. IMO, good customer service should mean shipping new guns with no issues. But hey, I may be asking too much.

Quality of Design, Manufacturing Quality and Customer service are 3 different things. They all sum up together to define a company. Screw any of those 3 up and you get a bad reputation.
