Drove down to near Clemson SC to view eclipse with family, and celebrate 50th anniversary. Able to get some good photos. Had a great time.

Thats an awesome pic,I thought it was going to get dark out a little but. Did that happen down there?

It was like twilight. Didn't get as dark as I had expected. The street lights came on, but they weren't needed and didn't add noticeable light. Yes, it was a truly awesome sight. Photo was taken with 200mm lens set at f/3.5 1/250 sec. ISO at 800.

Where I was, you could just tell the thermals changed a little bit and there was no appreciable change in daylight. It cooled off a little bit but you could tell the difference in UV light if that makes sense, maybe ambient light I guess. just different looking. It seemed as if the plant life was affected in the corn and bean fields, it looked like it just rained but was bone dry and the row crops sort of looked heavy. At the house in the evening there was a brilliant yellow tint to everything for a few short minutes.
