Looking forward to it. Have had to miss so many of them recently.

Quick question, sorry if it's a dumb one.

I just recently got my HQL, and I've never bought a handgun at a gun show. How does that work exactly? Do I purchase it and fill out the 4473 and 77r and then wait 7 days and contact the person or shop I bought it from?

I'm a C&R rifle collector so I've never had to deal with a 77r at a gun show before.

Go online to the MSP licening portal website, create an account, if you don't have one and fill out an application and submit it. You will receive a confirmation email, take a copy with you to the show, it will have the application number and a pin number, the dealer will need both.

Is there usually a reloading booth there?
I want to get some powder, primers and some 6.5/.264 ELD-M bullets.

Not usually anyone who is a "reloader supplier".
There are sometimes 1-2 tables with powder and primer. You will find more bullets and cases though.

I would ask TomKat ammo if they are coming with the stuff you want.

Sadly TK is not an IP anymore. She is moving to VA but keeping the Airpark store open for now and he moved to Hanover, MD. I’ve seen him at the last couple shows in Chantilly and York and he was at the last Frederick show. I’ve got his new business card somewhere around my desk so if you need his info PM me. Only way I know what she is doing is her page on Facebook.

I’ve not seen any reloading supply booths there in about 2 yrs. Lately I’ve been driving up to the Gettysburg or York shows for reloading stuff.

I’ll be there helping Brian out at the South Carroll Sporting Goods tables.

If you’re looking for some really nice Swedish Mausers or Mosin-Nagants, he’s got plenty of them!

It was very nice chatting with MilsurpDan and FFBWMD at the SCSG table. I walked away from them with a beautiful 1948 M44 from the amazing collection of Sarah Palin’s #1 fan!
