    Fentanyl laced "gummies" poison VA High School Students

    Early (unconfirmed) reports are that some students at Southhampton HS in Virginia have died (see the below linked FB video). Rumored that they were laced with Fentanyl but that is also unconfirmed at this point.

    UPDATE: now reported that the gummies were “edibles” and likely not deadly. Apologies for running with the original FB reports.

    That is terrible and so senseless. I cannot imagine the pain if the families and loved ones of everyone at that school.


    The article states the kid was "handing out" as in not telling the kids what was in them???? If that was true they should put the kid under the jail.

    Gummies (candy) are more likely to have been pot infused. Not great, but not deadly, if that's all it is. Who made a recent trip to Colorado?

    I aggree, I wonder how fentanyl was confused for cannabis?
    But this school will probably ban packed lunches over this, which may have even been a senior prank.

    There is something legitimate called a 'fentanyl lollipop'. But that is something kept under lock&key in a hospital and is given to kids under the care of an anesthesiologist just prior to a painful procedure (e.g. a bone marrow biopsy).
