If I am going to pay through the nose for a root canal in my mouth I would rather it go to a board member. No Rack, you can't pull my tooth so forget it. Real dentists only.

I can mention Waldorf dental practice that is mostly competent in what they actually do, but oversell you like they were Aamco transmission.

Or I can recomend a dentist about 35 miles from you that does great work, and I totally trust.

I found a dentist the other day that I will use. Would rather have put the money in a MS Shooters practice if there had been one.

A little known fact that if you go to an in-network dentist, they have to charge you the negotiated fee that your insurance company would pay even if the insurance company will not cover it. it might save you a lot of money if you have dental insurance already.

I'd send you to my wife's practice, but she is in College Park.
I can say she's a really good dentist and an Immigrant who is a strong Republican. She tries not to talk politics at work though :)
Remember, a portion of her proceeds goes to my gun cabinet. Most of it goes to her boots ;)

I recommend Dr Wing F Chan. He specializes in endodontics (root canals). He can do most root canals in one visit. He isn't cheap , however, you only need to see him once for that tooth.

If you want to save money on dental work, just say the following: 'Pull the tooth'. You can always have an implant put in at a later date.

Important reading before you see a dentist is the article, 'How Dentists Rip Us Off'. I did my own personal survey of dentists in the Damascus, MD area and I got a range 'diagnosis' for my mouth. It ranged from 1 to 4 crowns. I was searching for an honest dentist. I didn't find one. Little did these dentists know that my very good friend was my dentist and that I was searching for other family members. My dentist told me that I didn't need any work at all done. All of my family ended up going to him even though he was over an hour away.

Yes I wasted my time and money doing my due diligence on several dentists in the area, but I think it was worth it. Always question the diagnosis.

My wife has always said to try to save what can be saved. Discuss pulling & implant costs w/ your dentist to educate yourself.
Implants are much more expensive and many visits over longer time. Sometimes involving a bone graft. Some general dentists will do root canals which do not get complicated. Once complicated, they start to lose $ and refer to a specialist who can charge you and the insurance more $ because of being a specialist.

Good luck and don't let it fester longer than you can, it does not get better on its own.

Does she take Tricare? Like I said, I prefer to spend my money inside a community I know. I'm not looking for a deal. Although I do pay 40 percent of the cost.
