    Last Sunday’s massacre in Orlando, sadly, again reinforces the lesson that unarmed people are sitting ducks.

    It’s scary to attack people who might fight back, so mass shooters tend to choose unarmed “soft” targets. They’d prefer you not return fire.

    As it turns out, the numbers unequivocally affirm this obvious fact.

    The Crime Research Prevention Center, a nonprofit focusing on gun laws, found that just over 1% of mass shootings since 1950 have happened in places where guns are allowed. The vast majority happened in gun free areas. Like elementary schools and bars.

    Go figure.

    In other words, existing gun laws are killing people by preventing them from defending themselves.

    Mr Nader is an old school attorney raised to think independantly and be skepitical of what others say. He never was a follower.

    Nice piece, but where'd you find the Nader connection? No reference to Nader or the left on her bio page. In fact, most of her previous articles appear to be (appropriately) right-leaning.

    Misleading thread title is misleading. Ralph Nader did not write that and it's unlikely he even agrees with it being as braindead as he is.
