Try and shoot the rifle with just the action screws tightened to see if your issues are solved - before installing the accuracy kit. I’ve always found making sure both action screws being tight are the biggest improvement for any Mosin.
Plus, with the new baseline, you can later judge if the kit helped at all.

The optic sight is adjustable. Red nail polish is fixed.

Heat shrink tube on the front sight then clip to reduce height.
Some have put a brass tube on the existing post then pushed it up and down. Once fixed, they tack glue or something. Heat shrink is cheap and easy to remove. Don't abuse it and it won't move on you. |
