Stag leaving CT

Though their CEO's statement is marinated in "fully integrated value chain"-isms and the like, the long and short of it is that Connecticut is now hostile to their line of work, and they're bugging out.

Oh my god. That quote from Stag’s President just made me nauseous. The mayor kept it pretty real though.

Good on Stag for staying classy, if not coded for “screw you, CT, we’re outta here.

Apparently the mayor isn’t worried about it, so at least the divorce is amicable.

In a rational world, that comment would be from a satirical troll. But that's your liberal east coast folks for you. Love her handle: "Well Educated Liberal." Pretty much sums it all up. I do like how she asserts an alternate reality, though. Hillary is her president! *sigh*

Both the company and mayor are dealing with this change about as classy as they can. The economy is so strong, the city will fill the space vacated by Stag. Stag will move somewhere that will welcome them, not tolerate them.

It's a win/win situation.

Disagree. Stag would have better served the 2A by telling folks in plain English exactly how many jobs and exactly how many dollars were being taken out of the local economy due to the Democrat Party.

The Northeast is hostile to business, period. Don't forget the high taxes and also corporate NIMBYsm that caused Amazon to cancel.

Amazon didn't get tanked because of NIMBYism. It got tanked because they didn't signal a willingness to become a full-on slave to SJW socialism when they moved in. AOChe and her contingent didn't like the idea of Amazon doing crazy things like hiring the best people, paying them appropriately, and seeing that impact the local economy in ways like ... making local businesses more prosperous, increasing property values, and the like. They tend to hire loosely on merit, and that Will Not Do!
