There are plenty of ARs on the MSPD Firearm Search website that do not have HBAR barrels and are not banned.

2) The list is NOT legally binding. It says so on the page. There have been several guns showing as Banned, that when questioned were no longer Banned. And there have been one that were clearly banned, but showed up on the list as not banned. |

There is more to a rifle than the barrel. The one not banned my be a piston gun, versus DI. Even though you could use the barrel off the piston gun, the gun you build will be illegal. |

This Let's call it "MD HBAR" No connection to any measurements,, profiles, etc. LE will not measure your barrel profile and make a determination. They will ask for your documentation that is was articulated by the manufacturer as an HBAR. You are the manufacturer? Gets even grayer. Myself, I wouldn't. IANAL YMMV and I don't think there have been any test cases on this. |
