Looks like I have a tremendous amount of reading to do here as there seems to be a he'll of a lot of information and discussions available.

I'm a gun owner and collector with a family and I'm concerned mostly at this time with the types of laws that may be attempted soon.

I have thought about this club because I've heard of it a couple of times but I don't know much about it. I have only used indoor ranges around here.

The AGC is made up of 30+ different clubs. You need to belong to one of them to be able to buy a range badge and use the facilities. My Club, Mount Washington, sponsors the Appleseed program at the AGC. The next one is March 10 and 11. You don't have to be a member to participate.

Welcome to the forum. I'm ex-Baltimore County, now in Texas.

Where in the county are you? That will be a help in suggesting locations to shoot and train. As for keeping up with the laws, MSI (Maryland Shall Issue) is a good start.
