I just took my new-to-me 22a to the range (thanks 2A sales!) and it shot great, but only when the mags were slammed home in just the right way.

After checking the interwebz for possible causes/solutions, the consensus seemed to be the magazine safety. Sure enough, after removing the grips and observing while inserting a mag...sometimes the safety bar would "miss" the lip of the magazine and fail to disengage the safety.

I removed the mag safety bar and things seem to be be better.

Anyone else removed their mag safety?
