If you're looking for 9mm the P30 is an amazing handgun. It and the Sig P229 might have the best trigger I've ever felt on a gun out of the box.

I want to get a P30, maybe for Christmas. :) I want the P30S, with the manual safety. Handled one with night sights, but it was in .40, I want the 9mm.

I wasn't aware they had a model with a manual safety. I like my guns without them though because I cut my teeth on Glocks so safetys seem foreign to me. Maybe it would give me a place to put my thumb though; my only complaint with the P30 was that I had no where to put my thumb. I didn't want to rest my hand on the slide release for fear of causing the slide to fail to lock back so I kind of held it up behind the slide release and a few times the release bit my thumbs during recoil. Not like serious angry bite but I could see it becoming uncomfortable during extended sessions.

Well that's just full of win.

I saw it first hand in the store. The H&K LEM trigger isn't bad but I've been carrying/shooting a Beretta 92FS for a while and I'm used to carrying decocked/locked. I'm familiar with the 1911 as well and have carried a Combat Commander so cocked/locked is fine.

That being said I just picked up my G19 RTF yesterday, so really it doesn't matter. I like the lever on the P30S, it's almost like a 1911 with a decocker on the back. Pretty cool, IMO.
