I assume shouldering the unfolded stock is still a no-no and it says you can't fire it with the stock collapsed because the buffer tube is in the stock.Time for a pistol build.

Correct. Try and shoot it folded and you'll wind up with a BCG through your shoulder. With a 9mm AR pistol, there's no real need to shoulder it.
Not true. It can be fired with stock folded (only one round at a time, of course, since it won't cycle), but it is not recommended and will accelerate wear on some of the parts.
