Can't load 30 rd mags to capacity or breaking the law?

    the only thing relatively close to the OP would be if someone pinned or otherwise restricted the ability of a magazine to hold more than 20 rnds before transferring ownership in md. It's still a grey area as if you removed the pin, you'd essentially be manufacturing a 30 rnd mag and that would be illegal(unless done out of state). I think there was a thread discussing 10/22 mags pinned to hold no more than 20 rnds offered for sale once.

    I'm going down to florida this summer. If I were to get a drum mag for my MAK down there, I'm free to use it up here in Maryland?

    Yes.

    I went to VA last year... picked up plenty of magazines in capacities greater than 20... (250 rounds being the highest, for my SG-43 kit I have yet to build.) I can use them to my hearts content.
