What is a fair price for a new Colt AR-15A3 6721 without the LEO mark?

Values seem to be all over the board...most between $1100-$1500 depending on markings. I've seen them advertised as high a $2000 but that depends on where...areas with more draconian laws will see higher prices.

I now have the opportunity to buy one with the LE roll stamp for $1200 in great condition. Is that a fair price?

What size pins? If they’re standard and not the larger Colt nonsense, then that price seems in line with what the market is like today. A year ago, I bought a similar sounding one for maybe $800.

This rollmark is from a 6721 and has an LE prefix serial. Is this what you are talking about?

Ok - so AFAIK, these were rifles produced during the 1994 "Assault Weapons Ban" and during the ten years that the ban was in effect, could not be sold to anyone but FFL dealers, LE, or for export. I have seen these pop up as LE/Police trade ins, some of which seemed to have had a lot of use. I *THINK* those were made with the small pins but I am not sure.

[EDIT] From Geisseles web site: "Most Colt AR-15 rifles manufactured before 1991 and after fall 2009 are probably small pins while rifles manufactured between 1991 and fall 2009 are probably large pins."
