Cleaning and mic'ing the bullet would determine if it was undersized. Sometimes an undersize bullet will seat and take a crimp okay but have very poor pull weight. Handling will break the sealer (if used) bond and allow the bullet to get pulled out or deep seated during feeding. This would lead to your complaint in the first instance and misfeeds and kabooms in the second instance.
As a side note, using Extreme bullets during reloading will give you good practice mic'ing undersized bullets. I haven't had an order yet where all the bullets were properly sized...well in 45 caliber anyway.
