Congratulations. You've raised good kids.

It brings back memories of one of the proudest days of my life.

Chad decided if the C.G. didn't want him, that he would persue a job with the U.S. Army. In November he transferred to the a nearby U.S. Army Recruiting Office. The Recruiters there did the same thing as the G.C. and strung him along with lies for 5 months. We decided to drop those Recruiters after we caught them in lies.

My Son switched to a recruiter that attends my FIL's Church and in less than 2 weeks He was squared away. Thank you to the Staff Sgt for helping my boy.

His MOS is 11x (Infantry)
Good for him! I bet you are a proud papa indeed!

I've never understood why recruiters do that. Why not just work on behalf of the recruit and do your level best to get them in doing something they want to do, or that suits their aptitude?

Something else I don't get are the medical officers at Baltimore (Meade) MEPS. They had a guy there - recently retired from what I understand (GOOD!) named Doctor Loser - pronounced "Lo-zhure," although I prefer to think of him with the common pronunciation for that spelling - who was a total douche, and did everything in his power to prevent people from getting in. Lord help you if you had even the slightest physical issue. In retrospect, it's a freaking miracle that I got managed to get back in at age 44 after a 10 year break!

Anyways, congratulations! That's an awesome kid you've got there!

First words out of my Drill's mouth to me after the cattle car trip from 30th AG. "Did you shave this morning private?!" .... yes drill sergeant .... "I meant your FACE!" So glad I stifled that laugh. Good memories. Watch out for the fire ants.
