Sessions are early today.

The House recessed on Friday, so the first session today at noon is a continuation of the session from Friday. They will have at least one more session (per the House Agenda) after that (which may be nothing more than a 5 minute adjournment, I have no inside information on the plan).

The Senate also recessed on Friday, so today's 3PM session is a continuation of the legislative day. The Senate Agenda only shows the continuation session as of 1113 this morning.

Looks like HB0740 is in Third Read for Calendar#88 (in second session) and HB0786 is in Third Read for Calendar#95 (in second session).

Question is, when is the second session?

I know it sounds glib, but after the first session...

They have to complete the calendar from Friday, before they can "adjourn" to start a new legislative day. They will take a quorum call and go through all of the opening exercises. They might schedule committee hearings in a gap between sessions, they might not...We don't know what time the second, and any additional, session will take place.

I'm just trying to figure out what time to go. I know their plan is to confuse in order make resistance appear futile. If they don't have an 8pm session, then it's just a night to hit the bricks. I'm okay with that too.

I good guess is that they might convene the regular 8pm session early, say 7pm.

The House will almost certainly announce a “night” session as soon as they finish the noon session.

Just keep checking back.

The House of Delegates goes back into session at 5PM this evening. Both HB0740 and HB0786 are on 3rd Reader calendars this evening.
