10-4 guys, when ready I'll check out JLowes.

The good thing is, John is but a slight detour on your way to/from Cabela's anyway. You could run up to Cabela's, grab some ammo and accessories and stop by John's on the way back. :)

From my understanding, if it's an AR15 in anything BUT .223/5.56, then no matter the (NFA-compliant) configuration, it's good to go so long as it passes the evil feature test and is over 29".

I would DEFINITELY drive to JLowes instead of some big box store in Delaware; that's where my money goes. Not to mention supporting a vendor who is Pro 2A, a small arms subject matter expert, and a war veteran who was wounded in action fighting for his country.

There is so much conflicting info out there it drives me crazy. One shop will say HBAR for all calibers, Others will say 5.56/.223 only.

I try to err on the side of safety and stick with HBAR profiles

Cabela's would not sell you that rifle if it was shipped from Windham with a +10 Rd mag. They will not remove the mag and sell you the rifle.
