I didn't find a thread on this topic, so starting one here. I think this is my first post. I've been lurking for a while, but trying to get more involved in the
community. Anyway, here's my process for cleaning my RMR. What do you all do?

    1. Canned Air
    2. Sunglass/Eyeglass Cleaner (I use Oakley)
    3. Cat Crap Anti-Fog

Here's a video I made demonstrating my process. I could probably just skip #2 and use the Cat Crap for cleaning as well...

I think it would depend on the manufacturer. A lot of optics have coatings that may be special to a manufacturer and may require special care. I have Oakley glasses with Oakley lenses but I also have Oakley glasses with Walleva and other brand lenses, when I used the Oakley cleaner ont he wallevas I stripped a lot of the coating off.

Good point... although to be fair Wallevas are known to have pretty fragile (?) coatings and they in fact only recommend using water to clean them for that very reason. Any other chemicals, including soap, apparently can strip the coating.

With that said, I agree that you should definitely make sure what the manufacturer says about it.
For the RMR, Trijicon says to use any ordinary glass cleaner or car wax or even a mild plastic polish.
