    Buddy of mine has done all his homework and is getting out after deer for the first time this year. After much effort, he has talked me into tagging along. We are both complete noobs and I've heard Elk Neck can be a sh!t show, so looking to get more info about what I'll be walking into. Anyone have experiences to share?

    If you are both noobs you might be better off trying for one of the DNR managed hunts because there will be much more help available to see that you get it right. At the Fair hill Managed hunt they even haul your deer and butcher it for you.

    Ive only been there for squirrel hunting and muzzle loading for deer. Never seen another hunter there. Could not get a clear shot on deer the one time i brought my muzzelloader but did see some. Have a blast squirrel hunting there though.
