Just what I’ve always wanted, a smooth bore AR...
The best guess I saw online was that the muzzle device was rifled to impart a bit of spin on the projectile.

Suffice it to say, this seems kinda dumb. $200 is worth it to have a rifled barrel, that's for sure.

That's what I was thinking like a rifled choke, or didn't the Russians do something with their SKS that only a small portion of the end of the barrel was rifled?

I've heard some people saying that it has a twisted oval bore that's not legally "rifling" since it is neither cut into the barrel nor does it have distinct grooves.

I've heard others saying that the binary trigger makes it not an SBR since the NFA definition of a "rifle" is one shot per "pull" of the trigger while the definition of a "machinegun" is more than one shot per "function" of the trigger.

I guess we'll have to wait for their reveal at SHOT Show.

What would MD call it though, they called the mossberg shockwave a pistol?

Doesn't MD consider anything with a barrel less than 16" to be a pistol?

Franklin Armory is poking a stick at the ATF and saying “hey y’all watch this!”

That said, shut up and take my money!

That's what I am now leaning more towards.

Definition of rifle vs their binary trigger, the semi setting might be shot on release not pull.

Supposedly, FA has said it has nothing to do with the trigger. Speculation is on rifling that's not "rifling"?
