Knowing how, social engineering and keeping at it got us the proper timing for this to go down. All credit to my 20 yr. old niece who is crushing it selling horses. ‘Merica!

Special thanks to the folks here at MDS, the best source of knowledge given any crazy happenings. (Fidelity, Teratos, Baccus etc. even the trolls that prompt us to properly research and hand out smack downs.

    Is that what you mean?

Dressing her up as Armed Ferret would work, too. :lol2:

Wife working at the hospital today saying she's very happy with one of the President's new actions. Something that helps place sick people in beds during the crisis without the red tape.

Why is Italy so deadly? Why we can't compare it.

    https://rairfoundation.com/exposed-...-socialist-healthcare-open-bordersmust-watch/

Many Italians in Northern Italy have sold their leather goods and textiles companies to China. Italy then allowed 100,000 Chinese workers from Wuhan and Wenzhou to move to Italy to work in these factories, with direct flights between Wuhan and Northern Italy. This continued post outbreak, so is it mere coincidence that Northern Italy is now Europe’s hotspot for Corona Virus?

Those who are too old to have a high likelihood of recovery, or who have too low a number of ‘life-years’ left even if they should survive, would be left to die. This sounds cruel, but the alternative, the document argues, is no better. ‘In case of a total saturation of resources, maintaining the criterion of ‘first come, first served’ would amount to a decision to exclude late-arriving patients from access to intensive care.’

Basically once out of resources... You let the old people die. Gotta love rationing healthcare until you or someone you care about needs it.

    Enjoy your textiles Italy.

Just a mental blast from the past; I remember a story about a customer calling in to Pepco once, during one of the blizzards of the early 2000's. There were widespread power outages and upon hearing the customer remark that their older relative needed power for a life prolonging device or they would die, the Pepco CSR remarked "Well, at least they enjoyed a long life"

By president, you mean Obama enacted something six years ago to allow that to happen.

I mean Trump. I don't understand all the medical/hospital acronyms, and she's not back yet. It was in reference to emergency cases more quickly getting beds based on something he did yesterday or today, and the healthcare staff were saying positive things about him.

    ETA: Probably this ...

    https://www.healthcaredive.com/news...y-opening-up-billions-for-coronavirus/574127/

President Donald Trump declared the outbreak of the novel coronavirus a national emergency in an address on Friday, giving providers access to additional federal funds, resources and providing more flexibility by easing requirements to treat a growing number of Americans.

    ...

The declaration would waive laws or requirements to allow providers to quickly respond to the disease. In particular, it waives the three-day hospital stay requirement prior to being moved to a nursing home. It also waives restrictions on where hospitals can care for patients. It also eases licensure requirements, allowing physicians to provide care in other states, including for telehealth.

    ...

Hospital consultants also told Healthcare Dive it eases barriers to allow hospitals to reopen beds that may have been delicensed to create additional capacity, a growing worry among the healthcare community.

Can’t wait til the amateur feckin eejits all run out on St Patrick’s Day for green beer and shenanigans.

Local bar/restaurant in town was pushing their green beer/st Patty's day specials HARD on FB today. Probably no one coming in, and justifiably so. A lot of food service establishments are in panic mode over this while the grocery stores are making a killing.

There is one out of Louisiana, too. Both found that hampering citizens access to firearms/prohibiting carry are violations of the 2A, because THAT'S WHAT IT'S FVCKING FOR.

Plenty of green wearing St Patty's day revelers in downtown Frederick last night. Lots of people in restaurants.

    Was good to see.

Started a discussion with the family about the potential for an extended staycation. There are a handful of fast growing plants we could start in the garden and have harvest-able food in 30 days. Unfortunately, that list is stuff like lettuce, spinach, radishes, green onions, kale, etc.

I'm seriously considering getting some chicks from TSC (it is Chick Days, after all.) Chickens can be harvested for meat in 8 weeks -just in time to match up with the salad greens from the garden. That's assuming I start now.

Maybe we will consider hatching some of our fertilized eggs. Gotta add 20+ days of incubation to that plan.

I never expected to have to seriously consider stuff like this.
