Looking for an Uberti/Cimmaron/Taylors/Stoeger 1873 Lever Action, some items for the shopping list:
    • 18 - 20 Inch barrel
    • half octagon or full octagon
    • not set on straight or pistol grip
    • rifle, not carbine with barrel band
    • 38/357
    • case hardened coloring
I plan on this being a range, woods walking and occasional deer tool. Has anyone seen one local? I know Taylors is in Winchester, but they seem to want to charge MSRP from my conversations with them. There are a few floating around on Gunbroker and hovering between $1 - 1,400, but would prefer to buy local if possible.

Bonus if I could find an 1892 in 45LC to go with it! Bare bones and used.

Any IP's able to get these?

I will own one of the case hardened 38/.357 short rifles one day. They are beautiful and I hear good things about them. Pricey for right now, but one day I will have one. Good choice.
